Bolero has enjoyed a strong working relationship with Venezia Porta-Est and have included their contact details below so that you can pre-book your taxi in advance and receive the confirmation directly. The taxi company should collect you from the airport and bring you directly to Union Lido and wait for you whilst you will check in at the main desk. Once completed, the taxi will then bring you to the Bolero reception where we will meet you (this is during normal operating hours outside of siesta which is 13.00 - 15.00). For those being collected from Union Lido, the taxi will meet you at the Bolero reception on the holiday park (this is during normal operating hours outside of siesta which is 13.00 - 15.00). We know that VeneziaPortaEst and Laguna Coach Travel both operate this service.
If you decide to travel with another taxi firm, please confirm they will provide this service before booking to ensure a smooth and relaxing transition to and from the airport. If you arrive during siesta or leave for the airport during these hours, the taxi will not be permitted to enter the park, but the Union Lido staff will arrange to have you brought down to the Bolero reception or collected (if pre-arranged).
Public Transport to Union Lido
You can visit our YouTube page to view videos on how to get from either Marco Polo airport or Treviso Airport to Bolero via public transport.
The alternative to the taxi is the public transport system which has been extremely reliable and very popular in recent years. Running a regular service throughout the holiday season, you can pick up a bus using the ATVO service or go via water taxi into Venice
The ATVO bus service runs from the airports to Lido de Jesolo bus station where you can catch another bus bound for the Punta Sabbioni ferry port. You will alight en route at Union Lido (Tell the driver)
The water taxi service allows you to enjoy a scenic journey through Venice and across to Punta Sabbioni (check timetables) where you can join the bus bound for Lido de Jesolo. You will alight en route at Union Lido (Tell the driver)
Public transport times may vary between 1 hour 30 minutes and 2 hours depending on connections, traffic and time of day etc.
It is always advisable to build extra time into a journey to avoid any delays.
To make navigating the airport arrivals lounge easier for bus travel, we have included two videos we shot in 2014 to help.
