The Union Lido holiday park is located near Cavallino, on the Venice Peninsular. This provides easy access to Venice and the surrounding islands. You can view the Google Map location below.
Thanks to Google Earth, we can show you exactly where Bolero is at Union Lido. Watch the video to discover our centrally positioned location. We have 47 mobile homes located here, close to amenities, and within short walking distances to all of the Union Lido parks main attractions.
Union Lido prides itself on being one of the most family friendly holiday parks you could wish for, depending on your holiday needs / wants, Union Lido adapts to suit you. From a simple spot on a private beach with the occasional ice-cream vendor passing by, to a full on work out at the gym, or a scuba diving lesson, football training, horse-riding or maybe just a few laps of the pool and a meal out at one of the many restaurants whilst listening to a live band is all you need.
For children, Union Lido runs kid clubs for all ages, with arts, crafts, sports and even song and dance, for teens they have social venues, a 4d cinema, arcades, theme parks and the all important wifi!. You'll find yourself spoilt for choice at Union Lido, so rest assured, it's balanced to meet the needs of all ages.
The area around Union lido is natural forestry which is further surrounded by lagoons that span the peninsular. This provides the perfect breeding ground for Mosquitoes. Union Lido devotes a lot of time to minimise the population at the holiday park, focusing their attention on the trees above using eco-friendly methods. However, Union Lido can only do so much to distract them from their natural desires, so chances are you may get bitten. We recommend the methods that help work, including lotions, sprays, wristbands which can work really well for some, and have almost no effect on others. We ask that if you are using products with deet, please apply them away from anywhere they could potentially stain the inside or outside of the mobile home. We also recommend a curtain / blind check before settling down on an evening just to be sure no uninvited guest may have entered the accommodation.
The short answer is no, you do not need a car to enjoy the area around the Union Lido holiday park as the public transport system is so good, unless you wished to drive right out or the locality, 3-4 hour away to visit Verona or perhaps out to Lake Garda. That said, Bolero can offer 1 parking space for 1 vehicle per booking, so if you did wish to drive or hire a car from the airport, we can accommodate this.
When making a full reservation (once the holiday season's full prices are released online) you can either use the Bolero Holidays online reservation system, or book via the UK office over the phone or by email. For those wishing to use the online service, the Bolero search tool above will help you to find the dates and accommodation that suit, and an online reservation system will take you through the booking process step by step, collecting important data before finally requesting a non-refundable deposit of £120 / 120€ to secure the booking using a valid credit / debit card.
Following this, Bolero will send you a full confirmation holiday invoice which will total the holiday cost, along with a balance due date 8 weeks before you travel.
Bolero offers a minimum stay of 7 nights from mid May until early September. Before and after this period, we can be more flexible with those wishing to stay 10 or 12 nights for example, but from mid May until September, all holidays are booked in 7, 14, 21 or 28 night blocks only. We aim to provide 14 nights as the standard holiday stay, but we can offer 1 week stays on some dates, or 3 to 4 week stays if availability permits.
Based on availability, Bolero can offer 4 arrival days during the week. Holidays in the Torcello, Venezia, or Murano mobile homes can begin on Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday and booked in blocks of 7 nights (unless otherwise agreed directly with the UK office). For those wishing to reserve the Sorrento mobile home, arrivals are presently focused on Saturday or Sunday arrival days only.
All holiday balances are due to be paid 8 weeks before you arrive at Union Lido. We print this date on the bottom of your holiday confirmation invoice when you pay your full deposit. You can then decide how you wish to pay for your holiday, either in as many instalments as you wish, or as a single payment on or before the due date.
Payments can be made online or over the phone using a valid debit / credit card, or via bank transfer (banking details are printed on your holiday confirmation) Any balances left unpaid 7 days after the due date may be cancelled without notification.
Bolero provides holiday confirmation invoices which show the holiday details, the number of persons booked, pricing including any discounts if applicable, and any optional extras you may have booked. The holiday confirmation also shows the balance and due date. This information is normally delivered to you by email in the form of a PDF document, but can be posted out if you do not use email. Once the holiday balance is settled on or before the 8 week due date (printed on the holiday confirmation), you are sent a holiday voucher approximately 4 weeks before you travel to Union Lido.
The voucher explains the arrival and departure system with Union Lido and Bolero, and includes information on your holiday, travel details and lists the names of all those arriving. This must be printed off and taken with you to verify you as a Bolero customer, with Union Lido when you arrive.
You have a number of options available when you land at either Marco Polo airport or Treviso. You can either pre-book a taxi transfer, pick up a hire car, get a bus, or travel (if landing at Marco Polo) via the water ferries through Venice. You can read more about these options on our Airport Transfers page.
For those arriving by taxi between the hours of 08.00 - 13.00 or 15.00 - 23.00, please ensure you confirm with the driver that you are to be dropped off at the Bolero reception after your check in at the main entrance of Union Lido. It must be noted that any taxi company arriving during normal opening hours can proceed after this initial check-in to the Bolero reception area. Any taxi company stating they are not allowed to do this are incorrect, so please ensure you tell them to drop you at the Bolero reception office, and not the main gate of Union Lido, as the walk from there is roughly 500 meters.
If you are arriving by taxi between the hours of 13.00 - 15.00, the gates will be closed to vehicular traffic, and Union Lido will do their best to bring you to the Bolero reception by electric buggy. If your departure / pick up is during siesta (13.00 - 15.00) Union Lido will do their best to bring you to the main gate. Please confirm this information with our staff before your departure (if required).
The Union Lido Holiday Park is open from 08.00 until 23.00 and it must be noted that any vehicle arrivals cannot be accepted before 10.00 or after 23.00, and also vehicles are not allowed to enter the site between 13.00 and 15.00. During these times, there is a car park available at the entrance to the park. Bolero Holidays can only provide parking for one vehicle. If you plan to arrive with more than one vehicle, you will need to park in the outside car park across the road from Union Lido and you will be charged by Union Lido.
When you arrive at the main entrance to Union Lido, you will visit their office to check-in with Union Lido first. They will ask to see your Bolero voucher, then either ask you to complete a registration form, or request the code provided to you if you chose to use their online service to complete the registration in advance before you arrived. Once the details have been verified, Union Lido will request the passports of all those staying, and then issue you with your park passes, wristbands and provide details on where Bolero is in relation to the main entrance on a map. You will then travel from there onto Union Lido (either back in the taxi you arrived in, or driving in (if the gates are open to vehicles when you arrive) and down to the Bolero holidays reception.
Once there, you will be greeted by our staff and if your unit is ready we can begin the check-in process, but if not, the team will advise a time for you to return to the office to check-in, leaving you time to explore the park, or get something to eat whilst you wait. If the unit is ready, the team will take you into our reception office and check your voucher, note your park pass numbers, and then request the cleaning / damages deposit before issuing your accommodation key, then taking you round to your holiday accommodation, help familiarise you with it before leaving you to enjoy your holiday!
Union Lido will request your passport(s) when you arrive and store them during your stay on the park, returning them to you on the day you leave the holiday park. You can request them back 24/48 hours after your arrive if you wish. Just return to the Union Lido office to begin the process of returning them to you. Union Lido will require some form of security from you to do this, such as a credit card number.
The normal check in time is 16.00, however if you arrive earlier, please come directly to the Bolero reception where we will be able to give you an approximate time when your accommodation will be ready. This will enable you to check in at the Bolero reception office and use the facilities on the park until your accommodation is available.
When you book with Bolero, we ask you for travel information, which includes flight information and arrival / departure times. Our terms and conditions state that any flights landing at 21.30 must be pre-authorised with our UK office prior to booking them. Any flights that result in you arriving at the holiday park after 23.00 will not be accepted, and alternative overnight accommodation for that late arrival would need to be sourced elsewhere by yourself. Any flights that are delayed and are out of your control are exempt to this ruling. Bolero can monitor live flight schedules to ensure measures are in place to accommodate your arrival at Union Lido if a delay beyond your control does occur, which forces you to arrive after the cut off point of 23.00.
Yes! Bolero can provide an electric BBQ to be used at your accommodation. You can hire this at 4€ per day via our Bolero reception office. We will bring, setup and clear away once you've finished with it.
Although Bolero does not hire bikes directly, you can hire a bike from a local company based in Ca’Ballarin, a short walk from the Union Lido holiday park. Bolero can provide you with info on scenic routes in the area, and maps to help guide you around. Why not visit the weekly markets, or head down to Lido di Jesolo for a meal in one of the numerous bars and restaurants
Bolero does provide a hairdryer in all accommodation, but if you have specific styling requirements that only your hairdryer can provide, you can bring your own, but please ensure you bring a continental adapter.
Our mobile homes are all built in Europe, so they come with continental 2 pin sockets, so please bring adapters with you. If you do forget, they are readily available in the camping shop/airport(s) when you arrive should need to purchase any.
Yes, Union Lido is placed close to the ferry port of Punta Sabbioni where you can get a ferry across to Venice and it's main islands of Burano, Murano and Torcello. You can purchase a 'hopper' ticket from the Union Lido information office in the main square which will allow you to use the bus and ferries around Venice to travel almost everywhere this amazing location has to offer for either 12 or 24 hours. You can get a bus from Union Lido direct to the ferry port, and from there a ferry across to wherever you wish to visit first! It takes roughly 90 minutes to get to Venice, and offers a very scenic way to travel.
