A high number of holidaymakers at Union Lido will never feel the need to leave the holiday park as they are happy and content with the multitude of activities on offer.

However, there are some amazing attractions, easily accessible from Union Lido, which we recommend.

Using the fantastic public bus service along the peninsular, getting to Venice from Union Lido or the coastal resort of Lido de Jesolo has never been easier, you are assured of a simple and relaxing journey whatever you decide.

Venice & The Islands

Union Lido is perfectly placed on the Venetian Riviera to allow easy access to both Venice and the islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello where you will enjoy unlimited fascinating sights and also the marked contrast between the islands.

A visit to St Marks square demonstrates the deep rich religious background this floating city has to offer, but when the sun goes down, the city of Venice softly lights up the sky and turns it’s attentions back towards it’s roots as one of the most romantic cities on the planet.

Why not take a trip out on a Gondola and explore this fascinating city the way the locals do. Enjoy fine dining or a family visit to many of the canal side cafes and bars. Visit the Venice park and see how beautiful it is, admire the Venetian actors baying for your attention, (always polite to leave a little tip after a fantastic colourful photo opportunity).

Venice is one of the many wonders of the world and well worth a visit. Close to Union Lido and a wonderful holiday memory.

The bus stops are almost outside the main entrance of the holiday park. Just pop across the road and catch the bus bound for Punta Sabbioni (Ferry Port for Venice and the surrounding islands). The buses are ferries operate very efficiently which means minimal wait times between either service.

The bus has an electronic ticket scanner. Just pop your card next to it, the machine will beep and your done! The same applies to the ferry. Just scan your card on the machine, wait for the beep then board the ferry.

Get Wet!

Aqualandia is only a short journey from the family holiday park of Union Lido, and a must for all water loving families and friends. The park is a homage to everything fast and slippery as giant water slides cascade into deep blue swimming pools and people race down them at high speed screaming with delight.

Watch burly men cry on the kamikaze and children happily play all day under the warmth of the Italian sun. Aqualandia is a perfect day out for all ages and will provide an unforgettable experience.
